Startup and small business website FAQs
How much does a small business website cost per month?
With us it starts at £12.99 a month + VAT, including design, hosting, a .co.uk domain, SSL and business email. A business with more services to show usually goes for the Business plan at £19.99 a month. And you only pay once you've seen the finished website.
The price is fixed from the start: no separate charges for hosting, email or maintenance.
What should a small business website contain?
The essentials: a home page that says clearly what you do and where, a page for each service with prices or a guide price where possible, an about page, examples of your work, and a contact page with a form and opening hours.
If you're a limited company, add your registered company details. With that, a customer can understand what you offer and get in touch in a couple of minutes.
Why should a small business have a website?
Because it's the one place online you own. Social media is useful for day-to-day posts, but someone else sets the rules and the algorithm, and a Facebook page doesn't show up well when a customer searches for your service on Google.
Your own website, on your own domain, gathers your services, prices and contact details in one place, and works for you even when you're not posting.
Are there hidden costs when building a website?
Not with us. Hosting, SSL, backups, the domain (from Starter) and email are all in the monthly price. Depending on the plan you get 5 mailboxes (Basic), 10 (Starter), 15 (Business) or unlimited (Ecommerce), all on your domain, and we send written instructions to set them up on your phone and computer.
No contract and no setup fee: you can cancel anytime.
How long does a website design take?
3 to 5 working days. We only need what you already have: your business name, logo, a description of your services and any photos. Our team writes the copy, builds the structure and publishes the website.
You review it working on a real link, ask for any changes and only pay once you approve it.
